Addoursearch.com is a project by Troy Peterson, based in Duluth Minnesota. It gives site and blog owners the ability to let visitors search their site directly from their browser’s built-in search feature. This is the ’s first Browser Search Plugin installation service. Creating and installing your own browser search plug-in requires a certain level of technical knowledge and server access that not all site owners possess. Addoursearch.com simplifies the process of creating, displaying and installing a browser search plug-in into your visitor’s browser. The main objective of the founders is to increase the visibility of this relatively unkown and largely untapped channel.

Addoursearch.com is a completely free, hosted service and requires no registration to participate. Users simply complete a quick online form with their site information and are then presented with a small snippet of code.

Addoursearch.com has been tested and is compatible with the most popular hosted and downloadable blog, forum, and content management software titles including; Wordpress, Drupal, vBulletin, phpBB, and TypePad to name a few. Addoursearch.com is also compatible with most SaaS (Software as a Service) search solutions such as Coop and Yahoo!’s Search Builder as well as custom search implementations.
