An Italian startup that you probably do not know about…

logo GizjSergio Panseri has recently told us about an interesting startup called: Gizj. The startup is based in Italy and the founders are IT and web marketing managers.

Gizj.com is a personal aggregator site where you can customize all of the content and feeds. Users can choose to have their page private or public. To begin using Gizj.com you must create your page by choosing modules. You can choose the language you want when you are search for modules and then you can perform a keyword search of the modules. Once you find a module that interests you you can add it to your page by simply clicking on it and it will appear on the left side of the page.

It’s a pure free Web 2.0 website with some esclusive: services: thousends of modules and rss resources in 4 languages, a personal daily newsletter, an archive of your favourite news, modules geolocalization, etc.

The main objective of Sergio and his colleagues is to become the leader in content aggregators, with a large users community. They don’t want to rely on external financing so no investors are needed for them to launch this ambitious project.

We have identified severeal areas that are worth underlying. Basically, the main advantages are:

* gain time in order to approach news and services that you only have chosen for you;
* the service is always available from every connected computer to Internet: airports, Internet cafè, hot spot private and publics, hotel, offices, etc.
* the service is free;
* the service is in constant development, thanks to a team of technicians that works full time on the projects and thanks to the contribution of community developers, that publishes their modules;
* the service is offered in many languages for an international project;
* it offers a sophisticated news aggregator and reader, accessible selecting the appropriate option of the section “Options”.
