Controversial ads help to launch startups: RentYourWife

How much would you charge for renting your wife? That’s a funny campaign that was used to launch an online DVD rental.

It’s interesting to notice that startups use very strange methods to launch sites. Sometimes they forget about focusing on telling customers what their product or service is about and they simply choose to be controversial to make ads catchy.
