I wanted to find people with similar interest and an explosion took place

imageWell, not exactly. No explosion has ever taken place, but there is something you really need to check out: ex.plode.us. This is a site you need to try if you are constantly looking for people with whom you share interest and hobbies. It is nice because it’s simple, free and useful; three characteristics we really love.

What is really nice about this site is that you can easily find someone to talk to. In the past there have been hundreds of different applications to do it. I remember using a something called PowWow about 12 years ago, and I know some of you guys used it too. Ancient times, but nice times, anyway.

Now it’s different. You pick a topic you like, let’s say: web 2.0 and here you are. Hundreds of names of people with the same interest come up and you get a number of different choices.

What I don’t really like is that you are asked to log in using an account you have been using for something else. Businesshackers.com was developed using Wordpress and I wouldn’t really like to log into a website providing my data. That’s my impression yet, you might have a different opinion about it.

Anyway, that’s a good site. If you are in a hurry and you need to find someone rapidly use it. It’s worth spending few minutes everyday.

It’s not exactly a startup, but I really like it.
