It is really important to have a blog when launching a and it’s not only because you you need to tell readers about new features coming out from time to time. Basically there are 5 reasons why it woud be a good idea to launch a blog from day 1.

1. it helps to attract media.

Writing posts regularly makes your more visible. What is more it helps to gather people sharing similar interests.

2. it allows to get feedback.

It’s always a good idea to receive feedback especially if it’s a completely new project. You need to know your target audience expectations and dreams. You need to have good enough knowledge to try to forecast the future. A blog will help you a lot.

3. no need to have press releases.

That’s true only on condition that media will be interested in reading your blog. If a has great potential and has good behind, it will probably make the blog popular.

4. it helps to build a community of friends

Having a blog you attract visitors that you may want to turn into friends. When Businesshackers was launched we had very few community members; now we have plenty of readers that are somehow involved in the businesshackers project.

5. it makes you think about things that should be modified

If you have a blog you are most likely to analyze weaknesses and strengths of you . Much effort will be put into describing new characteristics of you product or service.

Briefly: always write your blog for every . It’s really worth spending few minutes every day.

Nowdays almost every “big” company has got one or more blogs. It is necessary, and it’s no more sth you can’t do without. I would hire a “professional blogger”, which means a good writer with sth to say on a given topic.

I agree. Our blog has been the primary driver of traffic (95% or more). Within four months we have had 47,000 unique visitors at ThemBid.com.
