You can use this methodology for any kind of market and period… I use daily bars because I don’t have enough time to do the same on 4hr charts or any shorter time frame…

For eur/usd it seems that a 19-27-1 architecture works pretty well…

*The Test set is a part of your input data set used ONLY to test how well the neural network will perform on new data. The Test set is used after the network is ready (trained), to test what errors will occur during future network application. This set is not used during training and thus can be considered as consisting of new data entered by the user for the neural network application.
