Startup trends: Internet connection everywhere will arrive soon

The title of this post is really catchy , isn’t it? I am living in Warsaw now and I must tell you that I have been thinking about business models that will allow users to use the internet for free.

Two business models are available right now:

1.  some companies offer internet free of charge (up to 500 megabytes a month) on condition that you pay for cable TV or phone. That’s pretty cool because if you exceed 500 mgb you pay only 49 PLN which is about 16-18$ a month. It’s a pity I can’t use it because Warsaw is not covered yet.

2. you can access some hot spots on condition that you watch short ads. You only need to turn “accept cookies” option on and you can connect for free. The disadvantage is that there are very few hotspots all over the world.

In my opinion you will have internet access almost all over the world in 4 years. New business models will help to provide internet for free to everyone everywhere in the world.

Another thing that will play a significant role is that in Europe private companies can be co-financed byt the European Union in order to offer free internet access to private users.

    especially in 3rd world countries… think before writing “almost all over the world”. People in African countries are dying because of lack of water… and you suggest they`re going to have free internet… :]
