Web 2.0 trends; Vint Cerf and the “IPod Moment”

In a recent article published by DailyChina you will find a brief description of the future of the by Vint Cerf.

That’s the kind of article that sounds like: “you know, there is something very heavy that can fly. It’s called plane. Did you know about it?”

Another obvious opinion about the future of the . In my opinion no one, and I mean no one is able to forecast what is going to happen in the next 10 years, because is not so much evolutionary as “revolutionary”.

Just few points:

“Viewers would soon be downloading most of favourite TV programmes onto their computers in the same way that they now download onto their iPod, the Daily Telegraph reported on Monday”.

Man you must have a crystal ball. You are able to forecast what has been going on for at least 4 years.

“85% of all video we watch is pre-recorded, so you can set your system to download it all the time”.

That’s very interesting too. I didn’t know about such a complicated . Could you tell us a bit more about it?

“You’re still going to need live television for certain things - like , sporting events and emergencies - but increasingly it is going to be almost like the iPod, where you download content to look at later.”

Another good point.
